Almost a mirror image of our fit-out workshop, the steel shop also has a ‘motor class’ and a ‘luxemotor class’ in build.
The motor class dutch barge is another of our 49M models. This time it will be the one-bedroom version, with the large galley and saloon. You can see from the pictures that is coming along very well. These photos show it about halfway through the build process. Chines, hull, deck and tumblehomes fitted. Plenty of welding left to do! Another 4 weeks and the steelwork will be completed. This boat is being built for Ian & Marilyn from Berkshire. This will be the 23rd version of our 49 Motor Class Dutch Barge – a very popular boat!
We also have a 49L Luxemotor Class Dutch Barge that is just being started, due for completion in August. It is being built for Vincent & Cecilia from Dorset. You can’t see any pictures just yet but the boat profile plates have been cut on our in-house plasma cutter and the base plate and frames have been laid.
