We now have a new 3D CAD drawing team in place & took on 2 new CAD guys last year to develop and transfer the barge layouts on to. This is an ongoing process that will take approximately 2 years to implement to every new build.
Joe Shenton our Design Engineer has been doing CAD design for the past 4 years after studying at Lancaster University where he graduated in 2006 and Newcastle-under-Lyme College in 2009. He has an HNC in Mechanical Engineering and 3D Feature Extraction & Machining and is using SolidWorks 3D CAD Design software.
Tom Winship our CAD Technician graduated at Staffordshire University in June 2015 and came out with a BA Honours in Product & Transportation Design, 3D Feature Extraction & Machining and 3D Alphacam & Design Automation. He is working along side our Alphacam CAD CAM designer Dave Young and also using SolidWorks.
Charly Fischer has joined the team, all the way from France, in our Advertising & Marketing department. She helped us to staff Salon Nautique, Paris in December 2014 and Salon Fluvial, St Jean de Losne in April 2015 and is now running the Piper Boats Limited Facebook & Twitter pages and posting updates on Instagram.
