David Piper skippered Havelok across the Channel in June with Manuka following on and then took Sinfonia across in July for her French owners.
Simon & Andrea spent a fantastic two weeks on Monchique at the end of July and took her back down the Saone & Rhone, onto the Canal du Rhone a Sete, across the Etang du Thau, down the Herault river to Grau d’Agde and back onto the Canal du Midi. Poor Gem however found the heat too much at times but loved it when she could get into the water, although she didn’t think much of the salt water in the Etang!
They have also just come back from another two weeks onboard where they went coastal. From Marseillan across to Sete, out onto the Mediterranean to Gruissan for the night then in at Port La Nouvelle & up to Narbonne, Capestang, Colombiers & Vias.
And we bumped into Dick & Carol Tushick with our first barge Lagom (now Amarok).
