With the world returning to some sort of normality, we were happy to be able to host the Piper Event at Henley on Thames again this year.
Yet again we saw a great level of support from our loyal owners with 17 Piper Boats moored along the Temple Island meadow it was a sight to behold.
It was great to be able to catch up with everyone and the weather was very kind, especially on Saturday. We had nearly 100 visitors on Saturday, so we really do appreciate how hard the owners worked to help us host this event, given the amount of wine consumed on the Friday night. it was a herculean effort😉
Joe from Boat Showrooms bought the Piper 12C along from its sales base at Harleyford. Something a little different from the Piper stable that created a lot of interest. Aimed more at the casual river cruising market it gives the opportunity for the Piper experience on a boat for the shorter term cruising.
The Saturday evening went very well with Richard F (Barge “In a minute”) doing a hog roast for everyone to enjoy.
Sunday’s weather was not as kind, but we still saw great enthusiasm from owners and visitors.
We were not sure how the weekend would go commercially but we managed to welcome 5 new owners to the Piper family so Simon is happy.
