Vitruvius – a 49 Motor class for Robert & Pamala from California was completed in February. She is sat on the yard awaiting the “dry” trials prior to delivery to the Thames in late March. When Robert and Pamela arrive for the acceptance, it will be the first time they have physically seen Vitruvius since it was in our steel workshop, but they’ve been getting regular updates over the internet!
We met Robert and Pamala at Henley 2019, whilst they were thinking of buying a pre-loved boat for their planned adventures. They soon realised that they didn’t have to compromise what they wanted, and they could buy a new boat from us- built for them over the winter and fully ready for the Spring 2020 season.
The format is very similar to a standard 49M. The interior is stunning and is based upon the classic styling of Karanja’s fit out. Robert and Pamala had a lot of their own ideas and they designed their own saloon cabinets; brought to life by the designers at Piper Boats. The boat also features an alternative style ensuite – no boat is ever the same!
